The Recycling kayaking is under the patronage of the Coalition Clean Baltic

Mr Dominik Dobrowolski, a famous Polish ecologist, has been canoeing and cleaning up rivers for many years now. His main objective is to protect rivers and the Baltic sea from pollution. His initiative is well-known and appreciated by many in Poland and numerous profit and non-profit organizations support Dominik in his projects. On July 2nd, Dominik starts another expedition called the “Recykling rejs” (Recycling kayaking). This time, he is going to canoe from Szczecin to Gdynia, along the Polish coast. During the expedition, Dominik along with Plastics Europe Polska, is going to organize a series of meetings in which he will popularize ideas of recycling and active protection of the environment.

We encourage you to follow this eco-expedition on www.recykling-rejs.pl. Dominik is inviting to organize similar actions in all coastal European countries and those with large rivers and lakes.

Widespread exploitation of the critically endangered European eel population continues against scientific advice, despite few signs of recovery. Yesterday, the International Exploration of the Sea, ICES, published its scientific advice on fishing opportunities and conservation for European eel for 2026. As in previous years, ICES advises zero catch for all life stages, all uses and in all habitats. The conservation advice is to reduce other human-related mortalities to zero and restore habitats.
