2025 IUCN Nordic-Baltic Meeting
The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) is a membership Union uniquely composed of both government and civil society organisations. It provides public, private and non-governmental organisations with the knowledge and tools that enable human progress, economic development and nature conservation to take place together. Created in 1948, IUCN has evolved into the world’s largest and most diverse environmental network. It harnesses the experience, resources and reach of its 1,300 Member organisations and the input of some 13,000 experts. IUCN is the global authority on the status of the natural world and the measures needed to safeguard it.

Description

CCB is a member of the International Union for Conservation of Nature, IUCN.

The IUCN Nordic- Baltic Meeting was held online on Wednesday 4th June 9:00-13:00. The event was organised by the IUCN Interregional Committee for Europe, Northand Central Asia (ICENCA).

The meeting took place in preparation for the World Conservation Congress, the following topics were discussed:
- Why it is important to participate in the Congress?
- Details about the motions process and the elections and
- Update on Resolution 145 on the oversight of National and Regional Committees.
