Joint ICES- DG MARE conference with focus on the Baltic Sea

The Conference "For and From the Baltic: Navigating the Future of Fisheries with Ecosystem-Based Management" jointly organised by ICES and DG MARE took place on September 15-18, 2025.
The event focused on:
- Keynote & high-level roundtable: Hear from leaders at ICES, DG MARE, and other prominent organisations as they share their insights on the latest advancements and future directions in marine science and management.
- Panel discussions & interactive sessions: Engage with experts as they address regional challenges, opportunities, and the pivotal role EBFM can play in the sustainable recovery of the Baltic.
- Short presentations by leaders and scientists: Gain a balanced view of the current state of the Baltic, including key findings from the ICES Annual Science Conference.
- The Statement on Baltic Science: Be part of a powerful message to national leaders, highlighting the urgent scientific needs and priorities for the region.
