Description

The Baltic Sea Youth Dialogue (BSYD) 2023 that foster intergenerational discussions aims to make our societies stronger. Happening in Oeversee, Germany from 5-9 November 2023, this event was open for young people aged 18-27 from CBSS member and observer states to join in.

The main events took place at the Academia Baltica in Oeversee, near Flensburg, Germany.
In Oeversee, attendees learned from experienced experts about boosting democratic strength, especially through better regional cooperation in the Baltic Sea Region and other structures like the CBSS, the Baltic Sea States Subregional Co-operation (BSSSC) and the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR).

A highlight for participants was the discussions with top speakers, including the Minister of European Affairs of the Land Schleswig-Holstein. Additionally, there were trips, cultural events, and chances to connect with peers.

The main goal of the BSYD was to create a vibrant network of young leaders, researchers, and officials focused on the Baltic Sea Region’s policies.
