CATCH Conference - "Sustainable Coastal Angling - A development Chance for the South Baltic Region"

Description
The CATCH Conference "Sustainable Coastal Angling - A development Chance for the South Baltic Region" was held on 5-6 April in Dźwirzyno, Poland.
Gordon P. Hendriks guideded the participants through three sessions with international speakers sharing their knowledge about:
1. Why is sustainability so important in coastal angling? - An environmental context.
2. How can coastal angling tourism contribute to the South Baltic Region development in a social aspect?
3. How to successfully promote coastal angling services in the South Baltic Region? -Business and Public Policy
Parallel workshops offered the opportunity to learn fly fishing or to gain insights into recreational fishing for young people in different countries.
A field trip on Saturday introduced participants to the activities of local fishing guards and included a visit to a hydroelectric power plant. The field trip was free of charge, a lunch box was included.
Participants of the conference were invited to present posters with reference to the conference topics in a poster session.
CCB Fisheries Policy Officer attended the event and talked about "Recreational Fisheries in the Baltic region".
