Hydropower Hot Spots in the Baltic Sea Catchment Area

Very few free-flowing large rivers remain on the European continent. The ones that exist are in northwestern Russia and in the northernmost Sweden and Finland. This report is a compilation of hydropower hot spots in the Baltic Sea area and might serve as a base for reflections upon possible future actions to be taken.
