What is the BSAC? The Baltic Sea Advisory Council (BSAC) was set up in March 2006 after a decision by the EU to create so-called Regional Advisory Councils in the fisheries sector (Council Decision 2004/585/EC). The main aim of the BSAC is to prepare and provide advice on the management of Baltic Sea fisheries in order to achieve a successful running of the EU’s Common Fisheries Policy. Description

On the 07 March 2022 BSAC was held the Joint BALTFISH-EFCA-BSAC Workshop on Landing Obligation.

This workshop focused on monitoring, control, and enforcement of the implementation of the LO in the Baltic Sea. It has been organised as part of the workplan of the BALTFISH Control Expert Group (CEG). The key action point of cooperation and dialogue with the fishing industry, EFCA has been requested to organise a workshop on monitoring, control, and enforcement the implementation of the LO.
