What are the Baltic breakfast? Baltic Breakfast is a series of short breakfast webinars organised by the Stockholm University Baltic Sea Centre. Their aim is to present the latest knowledge about issues of central importance to the Baltic Sea environment. The breakfast webinars are addressed to people in different sectors working for a sustainable development in the Baltic Sea region and everyone interested in environmental issues of the Baltic Sea.

Description

On 26 October 2021 was held a breakfast webinar. This event was the opportunity to discuss the concept of essential use and substitution of hazardous chemicals, and how strategies such as these can provide a safer and more sustainable use of chemicals. The event focused on various examples of how to apply the concept of "indispensable use" and highlighted the ongoing work of the POPFREE project, which has an important role to play in informing the public and helping industry to phase out PFAS uses as much as possible.

The webinar was held in English.
