Our Common Baltic 2003

Stensund Folk College, Trosa, Sweden
In co-operation with Coalition Clean Baltic
Course Leaders: Björn Guterstam and Eva Jansson
30 June-6 July

11 activists from CCB member organisations came together during 7 days to participate and to exchange experiences in the CCB summer course "Our Common Baltic". On the agenda were issues connected to the Baltic Sea like e.g. Baltic Sea ecology, environmental and cultural situation, and the traditional life-styles mixed with modern sustainability options. The course was given in English at Stensund Folk College, Trosa and on board the 104 years old sailing ship Amalia. During the last 5 days when sailing with the sailing ship Amalia the participants had the opportunity to taste and feel different kinds of weather in the Baltic Sea archipelago, like e.g. cold, rainy and windy weather as well as the hot, bright and sunny weather. To conclude: it was a wonderful week, full of experiences and learning, interesting discussions , practical work in the field, cultural meetings and to the last but not least - a week full of laughing!
