NEW CCB MEMBER AND OBSERVERS

GUIDE Environmental Group, Kaliningrad, Russia,
was granted the statute of a full CCB member by the decision of the 15th CCB General Meeting.
Egor Lykov, the GUIDE representative at the 15th CCB General Meeting, said after the Meeting:
"I am overwhelmed with emotions. We all believe that this will help our organisation in our activities on conservation of nature and biodiversity in the Baltic Sea Region. We believe that GUIDE, being a CCB member organisation, will have more strength and possibilities in its work. We hope that GUIDE will have greater influence, more members and supporters."

Latvian Green Movement, Riga, Latvia,
was granted the statute of an observer with CCB by the decision of the 15th CCB General Meeting.
Janis Matulis, the Latvian Green Movement representative at the 15th CCB General Meeting, said after the Meeting:
"In the next two years we hope to get a full membership status. For us it is important because we are dealing with a lot of coastal issues that are directly linked with CCB priorities. Of course, I see in CCB not only possibilities for co-operation, but a lot of interesting initiatives, new ideas about how to solve the problems. This is one of the main reasons why the Latvian Green Movement decided to apply for CCB membership. Important for us will be not only participation in one more network, but, of course, co-operation with a lot of CCB member organisations, which is essential if we want to develop transboundary projects. This is one of our main expectations."

Association of the Greens of Karelia, Petrozavodsk, Russia,
was granted the statute of an observer with CCB by the decision of the 15th CCB General Meeting.
Dmitry Rybakov, the representative of Association of the Greens of Karelia at the 15th CCB General Meeting, said after the Meeting:
"We feel that big credence is given to our organisation. I believe that this credence is well-grounded, because for many years our organisation works very actively for protection of the environment, and of the Baltic Sea ecosystems. The status with CCB will be a very good impetus for members of our organisation for more active work. Also, we hope for many advantages from co-operation with other CCB organisations. I believe that now we will continue our work with more inspiration and more strength, and we will be able to do more."

Western Centre of the Ukrainian Branch of the World Laboratory (WorldLab),
was granted the statute of an observer with CCB by the decision of the 15th CCB General Meeting.
Petro Hrytsyshyn, the representative of the WorldLab at the 15th CCB General Meeting, said after the Meeting:
"We all at the World Lab feel great satisfaction about extension of our partnership relations with CCB. During the last two years we showed our interest and our possibilities. Obviously, our work convinced CCB organisations to accept the World Lab in the big CCB family. We have sufficiently extensive experience in environmental protection, working in this sphere for 15 years. We are members of the Danube Environmental Forum. I think our co-operation with CCB will develop further our possibilities and the potential, especially in contacts, and possibly establishing new contacts through the World Lab between the Baltic Sea region and the Black Sea Region. Now I feel responsible for such contacts."
