1. Ongoing projects connected to the CCB activities:
A. This spring we start project
named "Development of the local branches of the "GUIDE"
Environmental Group" supported by the CCB/SIDA. The project will be
carried out in 2 districts of
B. RiverWatch: The
"GUIDE" (together with smaller local NGOs and schools) continues the programme of environmental monitoring of
Pregolya river (annual field expedition down by the river with chemical and
biological expertise). Next expedition is planned on
summer 2004.
2. Current activities:

Wintering waterflow birds monitoring in towns of

Educational project on protection of big nesting colony of Cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo L.) on the southern
coast of
C. Neman (Nemunas) Delta:
project "Education for future: conservation of Natural, Culural and
Historical Heritage of Slavsk district" (supported by WWF-Denmark &
DN, in cooperation with Rusne secondary school, Lithuania) directed to
supporting local groups of teachers and schoolchildren in researching and
conservation of valuable objects of Nature, Culture and History of Russian part
of Neman Delta.
