WHAT IS GOING ON AMONG OUR MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS?

All through our main campaign – Green Consumerism – we are producing newsletters, information sheets and are arranging seminars.
Main activities related to the Baltic Sea are including lobbying for Water Framework Directive, running Joint Public Awareness project, lobbying against heavy exploitation of coastal zone planning, organizing a Youth Camp etc.
Right now, in January we are lobbying national decision about investment subsidies for seal-safe fishing devices to fishermen.

Our main activities in 2004, related to the Baltic Sea issues include publishing information on webpages, dealing with the implementation of the Water Framework Directive, seal hunting, oil transportation etc. Right now, in January we are negotiating with forest companies, participating in the discussions about the implementation of Århus and Kioto conventions etc. Read more

In 2004 we mainly focus upon how to continue the cooperation with our partner NGOs in the accession countries after they have entered EU. We find new partners in Russia, Belarus and Ukraine, and develop new programs. Read more

We publish the book "Mythos Baltikum - Estland, Lettland und Litauen vor dem Beitritt zur Europäischen Union". We participate in several meetings regarding the topic "Enlargement of the European Union". We also present several ideas for projects. Read more

CCB BOARD MEETING. SATURDAY 22 – MONDAY 24 NOVEMBER
The third CCB Board Meeting during 2003 was held in Riga, Latvia. Different issues were on the agenda. Some of the topics discussed were;
CCB Workprogramme 2004, the on-going strategy work within CCB, development of the CCB Newsletter, CCB Baltic 04 Conference, CCB webpage etc. For each country a national report was given of the main on-going activities as well as for the CCB priority activities.
