General Meeting and Annual Conference

We now have the pleasure to invite you to Estonia to the CCB Baltic 04 Conference and the 14th CCB General Meeting!
This year the CCB Baltic Conference and General Meeting will be held in Nelijärve, Estonia. The programme starts on Friday afternoon/evening 21 May and terminates on Sunday 23 May.


“Oil transfer on the Baltic – Conflicts and Solutions”

Focus for this year Conference will be; “Oil transfer on the Baltic – Conflicts and Solutions”. Several interesting speaches on the topic will be held and on CCB activities carried out within this field. See the Provisional Programme.

Working Group Discussions on CCB Priority Areas
On Saturday afternoon group discussions will be held within all the different CCB Priority Areas and activities, which will then be the base when elaborating the CCB Workprogramme for 2005. Lead parties are responsible for preparation of the agenda for and facilitation of the discussions in the Working Groups.

Posters Presentations
A Poster exhibition will be held in connection to the Conference. All participants are welcome to present their work connected to the theme of the Conference on a poster (~ 1m2) Also posters presenting other work that is done within the CCB Member organisations connected to all CCB Priority Activities are mostly welcome. We need to know in advance how many posters there will be, so please inform CCB Estonia together with your registration if you will bring a poster.

Call for Papers
All speakers are invited to submit files of their presentations until May 10 sending them via e-mail to the CCB Estonia Secretariat (roheline@online.ee) for making copies of your presentations to participants of the Conference. After the Conference all presentations will be gathered in the Report from the Conference.

Language
The working language of the Conference, the General Meeting and the Working Groups will be English.

General Meeting and Excursion
The General meeting will be held on Sunday morning. On Sunday afternoon an excursion will be arranged to Muuga Oil terminal.

How to reach Nelijärve
The Conference will be held in “Nelijärve” Conference and Recreational Centre which is situated in Aegviidu municipality, Harju County, North Estonia about 60 km from Talinn towards East along the St. Peterburg Road & Piibe Road. An organised bus will be arranged for all participants that need transport to and from Talinn to the Conference place.

A common bus organised by Estonian Green Movement will depart from EGM Tallinn Office on 21 May evening.The exact time for the departure will be announced later, directly to the registered participants. If you come to Tallinn earlier, you can leave your luggage at the CCB Estonia office, which is situated in the Centre of Tallinn (near central department store " Kaubamaja") , at the Street Rävala Boulevard 8-B203, and then enjoy the opportunity of having some free time in Tallinn. On Sunday the organised common bus will be back in Tallinn, after the excursion at 17.00.

Reimbursement of Expenses
Travel expenses and accommodation for Western-European participants has to be covered by their own member organisations. The costs for accommodation and meals at the conference will be about 75 Euro/person (accommodation in double rooms) for the stay from Friday afternoon until Sunday’s afternoon.
CCB will cover the costs for board and lodging in Nelijärve for the participants from East-European countries. You will be reimbursed for the non-expensive and convenient way of travelling to Tallinn or Nelijärve.
Please note that you have to state your requested, total amount for travel reimbursement (SEK/EURO), local transport included, at the application form. To keep the budget-line for the Baltic 04 conference CCB can only guarantee that you will get the amount that you have stated in the application form.

Travelling to/from Latvia
All participants from Latvia and Lithuania should contact the CCB Secretariat in Latvia and Lithuania for coordination of your travels.
Participants from St. Petersburg, Russia should contact Oleg Bodrov, Green World (Board Member of CCB) for coordination and information on most suitable mean of travel.
Participants from Poland should contact Piotr Gruszka, Green Federation (Board Member of CCB) for coordination of your travel.

Fill in the application form and send it to CCB Estonia, Maret Merisaar by fax or e-mail as soon as possible but not later than May 3!
Please note that we will confirm all registrations where CCB pays the expenses, so do not book your ticket before you have got your participation confirmed by the CCB Estonia National Secretariat!

The number of people that can participate in the Baltic 04 Conference and Annual Meeting will depend on the budget allocated for this event.
