CCB report on Baltic EU Member States implementation of MSFD

The MSFD is an important EU legislation for our seas. If fully and coherently implemented, MSFD can be a powerful tool to monitor and improve EU seas and the Baltic Sea in particular.

CCB has during 2013 worked on a joint project to review the Baltic Member States implementation of this Directive. The results show a quite disappointing level of ambition from our region and also poor coordination among member states. Cooperation and coherent actions are the key to reaching a better marine environment and CCB believes that all Member States in the region can and must do better. The report is available in a short version and long version with detailed annexes:

Short version (30 pages)
Long version with annex (83 pages)
